A weird rash of robberies has taken place in Washington State, USA. Women dressed as nurses, in full scrubs, have been walking through neighbourhoods and stealing people's packages off their doorsteps.
The nurses are believed to be frauds posing as healthcare workers. Two women have been caught on camera in the act of brazenly stealing peoples packages in the middle of the day in Kennewick, Washington.
YEN.com.gh learned that the Kennewick Police Department (KPD) has released a statement asking for the community to help identify the suspects.
"Officers are currently investigating a case of porch piracy and need your help. Both suspects have been reported as stealing packages delivered to Kennewick residences."
The KPD does not believe that the suspects are genuine nurses saying that the nurses they know would never stoop so low.
"The nurses we are fortunate to know only give their time, lives, and take the vitals of their patients (not their property)."
One of the victims had a surveillance camera recording the theft of her package. She revealed that the "nurses" stole her package, minutes after the FedEx truck had delivered them according to TMZ.
In other news, a young criminal from Ghana whose name has not been disclosed was captured in a viral video undertaking a rather hilarious punishment of lifting weight after being caught in the act of stealing.
The video was sighted by YEN.com.gh on the Instagram handle of Celebritiesbuzzgh in which the gentleman was seen shaking vigorously whilst undergoing the punitive activity.
Reports indicate that the gentleman was highly inexperienced in theft, for which he chose to perform the criminal activity in the 'wrong zone'.
