Meet the young man whose team assisted KNUST to develop COVID-19 test kits

- KNUST in collaboration with Incas Diagnostics developed COVID-19 test kits to help in Ghana's fight against the pandemic

Laud Anthony Basing, the Managing Director at Incas Diagnostics collaborated with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to produce COVID-19 test kits.

In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on the verified Facebook page of the U.S. Embassy Ghana, it is indicated that the young man was a 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow in the Business and Entrepreneurship track at the Purdue University.

In line with Ghana's objectives in the fight against COVID 19, Anthony Basing's team aided the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to develop a Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT).

It is indicated that the COVID-19 RDT is currently still undergoing optimization so as to serve its purpose with no errors but absolute surety.

The Food and Drugs Authority is also being actively engaged in the process for the necessary regulatory framework surrounding the product to be duly obtained.

Many people poured words of appreciation and congratulation to Laud and his team for their immense contribution to Ghana's fight against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, a young criminal from Ghana whose name has not been disclosed was captured in a viral video undertaking a rather hilarious punishment of lifting weight after being caught in the act of stealing.

The video was sighted by YEN.com.gh on the Instagram handle of Celebritiesbuzzgh in which the gentleman was seen shaking vigorously whilst undergoing the punitive activity.

Reports indicate that the gentleman was highly inexperienced in theft, for which he chose to perform the criminal activity in the 'wrong zone'.
