Two Ghanaian women who have been spotted in town with no regard for COVID-19 prevention measures have explained why they do not mind being exposed.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, the women vehemently explained that they carry the name of Jesus which is more powerful than any virus and therefore do not fear the COVID-19 pandemic.
A particular one of them indicates that she did not actually believe that the novel coronavirus was in Ghana and even if it were, she had the name of Jesus to protect her.
Watch video below:
Upon hearing the strong opinion of the woman, the reporter referred her to the portion of the Bible that says that one should not test the Lord.
He pulled the question from Jesus' encounter with the devil after he finished the 40-day fast and was asked by the evil one to jump for the angels to carry him in their hands.
The Ghanaian woman seemed to have understood the point but insisted that her faith was strong and unwavering, so there was no possibility of her contracting COVID-19.
Many people have been reacting to the video. Atuah Naomi Gyaubea explained the whole point with a critical analogy from her brother's experience:
Mawuli Vormawor referred to Bob Marley's quote to emancipate oneself from mental slavery:
Fankibi Joseph made a rather interesting joke only people who have watched the video would relate with:
In another report, a video has surfaced online showing how joy filled the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a number the COVID-19 patients there recovered fully.
The footage showed a fleet of cars carrying all the recovered patients as they moved out of the facility amidst waves, cheers and applause from health workers standing by to witness the amazing moment.
All the recovered patients who were admitted at the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19 repeatedly tested negative after receiving some treatments.
