Kumawood actor Bernard Nyarko's mother was threatened with death because of her refusal to allow visitors from the Kumawood industry see her son during his sickness.

Bishop Nyarko passed away at the Ridge Hospital on Saturday, May 2, 2020, after reportedly battling colon cancer.

Before his passing, many of Bishop Nyarko's colleagues in Kumawood had lamented that the late actor's mother was refusing them access to see him.

The likes of Big Akwes and Dada Santo even went on radio to voice out their frustrations about not seeing their colleague.

Following his passing, it has emerged that Bishop Nyarko mother was threatened by an upcoming Kumawood actor known as Ogyam.

In an audio which has been heard by YEN.com.gh the Ogyam guy was heard issuing his threat s in what looked like a voice note.

In the voice note, Ogyam was heard saying that whoever was going to receive the message should tell the mother of Bishop Nyarko to allow the Kumawood actors to come and pick her son for treatment elsewhere.

He added that if the mother refused o allow them and anything happened to the actor they were going to take his life.

In the audio played by Kofi Adoma, the actor (Ogyam) emphatically stated that ‘they’ will make sure Bernard Nyarko’s mother will join him in the land of the dead if she failed to make them see him and he lost his life.

Oboy Siki who was being interviewed by Kofi Adoma confirmed the voice to be that of Ogyam as earlier mentioned in the voice note.

Meanwhile, Oboy Siki in his interview backed Bishop Nyarko's decision saying the Kumawood actors would have done exactly what the deceased feared.

Oboy Siki also chastised his colleagues who are claiming they wanted to give money to Bishop Nyarko revealed that they could not have contributed more than GHC5,000
