The letter issued and signed by the National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo clearly stated that he was suspended for his persistent anti-party conduct.
The matter, according to the statement, has been referred to the disciplinary committee of the party for further action to take place.

However, in a tweet sighted by YEN.com.gh, member of the NPP, Gabby Otchere Darko, in sharing the letter wrote, "This is the kind of behaviour that affects Ghana’s standing on the index of press freedom. Next thing you know, @JDMahama will be using it against @NAkufoAddo!"
However, Twitter users did not agree with Gabby's line of thought on the matter as they also responded with their opinions.
Seth asked Gabby of his whereabouts when the NPP suspended their party chairman.
Nunana said Gabby had no moral rights to comment on certain things.
Aj simply asked Gabby to concentrate more on things that concerned him.
