American rapper, actor and businessman, Curtis James Jackson III, professionally known as 50 Cent, has opened up on his relationship with estranged son, Marquise Jackson.

In a recent Instagram live chat with media personality, Van Lathan, spoke about how his fame and fortune caused the falling out with his son. "It is sad, it's a sad situation," he said.

He continued: "When you pray for success, you don't necessarily pray for the things that come with it. It's no such thing as success without jealousy without envy or entitlement."

He also went on to say that he would pay over $1 million (N390,680,000) in child support and that Marquise "had everything I didn't have." When asked if he loved his son, 50 Cent said that he "used to."

The rapper continued, "I didn't think that success would cost me my firstborn but it's the situation it is. Like, my grandfather used to say, 'If it rattles like a snake and slithers like a snake, is it a snake or do you need to be bit?'"

Only a short while ago, the controversial rapper revealed he'd pick rapper 6ix9ine over his own son.

Recall 6ix9ine following his jail time and cooperation with the police following his arrest and jail time for racketeering, he isn't exactly everyone's favourite rapper anymore as many people have brandished him a 'snitch'.

However, 50 Cent expressed that he would choose the rapper over his son.

He said during his Instagram live, "Nah, I ain’t heard from 6ix9ine. He’s his mother’s child now. He told on everybody. He better than Marquise, though. I’ll take him before I take my actual biological son. F*ck that n***a."

Expectedly, Marquise was not please with this and responded to his father's shade, slamming his for 'claiming a rat.'
