The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has turned a year older today, Wednesday, May 6, 2020. Born in 1950, the occupant of the Golden Stool attain the ripe age of 70 years.
While Otumfuo is known for big celebrations for such occasions he could not have a big one this because of social distancing regulations.
That notwithstanding, and occasion of a 70th birthday could not have been treated anyhow and the Asanthene has thus held a mini celebration.
Photos from the celebration show it was a private mini party which had people close to Otumfuo in attendance.
In the photos sighted by YEN.com.gh, most of those present were clad in all-white outfits.
One of the photos had Otumfuo being joined by the attendees to cut his birthday cake.
Menawhile, Otumfuo's daughter, Dr Caryn Agyemang Prempeh, has taken to social media to celebrate him on the milestone.
Dr Prempeh who is popularly known as Ohemaa Afia Kobi shared photos of her father with a lovely caption on Instagram.
