Popular Kumawood actress Mercy Asiedu has shared new stunning photos as she turned a year older.

Today, Saturday, May 9, 2020, marks the birthday of veteran Kumawood actress who is known for her force acting roles. Born in 1971, she has just turned 49 years old.

To mark the occasion, Mercy Asiedu has taken to Instagram to give fans a glimpse of beauty with some gorgeous photos.

Sharing the photo, wished herself all the goodness of life while praying for all bad things to go away.

"I wish myself peace, smiles, and an excellent mood. Let all the bad things go aside (COVID-19 and other pandemics), may I overcome the hardships of life with ease, let every day of this new year of my life be filled with joy and happiness. Let there be good hope and infinite love. Happy birthday to me. Love you all!!!," she wrote.

Mercy Asiedu popularly known as Asaabea by her fans, has been acting industry for the best part of the last two decades.

Mercy started as a stage play actress featuring in the popular concert party shows for which she won an award in 2001.

But it was her role in the 2005 hit movie 'Asoreba' as Asaabea, the troublesome wife of Agya Koo, that endeared her to fans and earned her the nickname.

After her starring role in the breakthrough 'Asoreba' movie, Mercy has gone on to forge a fine career for herself featuring in over 100 movies.

In 2017, Mercy got married to her long-time lover, Nana Agyemang Badu, who happens to be the chief of Kunsu in the Ahafo Ano South District of the Ashanti Region.

It was after the marriage that she assumed the title 'Oheneyere' to signify that she was a chief's wife.

She is also a musician and has two gospel albums to her credit. Her second album, titled Ye Meho Nsenkyerene’’, was out in September 2011.
