Star actor John Dumelo and his wife, Gifty Mawunya, have shared beautiful photos and videos on social media as they celebrate their wedding anniversary.
Dumelo who is now a full-time politician married Gifty Mawunya (nee Nkornu), the younger sister of actress Selassie Ibrahim, in a beautiful traditional wedding on May 11, 2018.
Exactly one year after their marriage, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon and Gifty walked down the aisle in a white wedding at the Royal Senchi Hotel.
As extensively covered by YEN.com.gh, the white wedding was a star-studded ceremony which had Nadia Buari, a friend of Gifty, as the maid-of-honour.
Today, May 11, 2020, thus marks a double anniversary for Dumelo and his wife. The two got married exactly two years ago and their wedding is also one year old today.
To celebrate their special occasion, the Dumelos took to Instagram to share some photos and videos and pledged to love themselves forever.
Dumelo who was the first to post shared a photo from their white wedding in which they were loved-up on the dancefloor.
Captioning the photo Dumelo said: "You’ve not made me happy....you’ve made me the happiest. Happy anniversary! Many more years to come! ."
Gifty also came with her own photo showing her husband on bended knees as he presented flowers to her.
"Happy anniversary babe...thank for making marriage so easy," her caption read.
Later she shared some videos from their white wedding.
The videos captured the moments both Dumelo and Gifty said their vows to each other.
The photos and videos shared by the couple have got many of their followers on social media to wish them well on their anniversary.
Dumelo and Gifty's two-year-old marriage has produced one child, a son called John Dumelo Jnr who was born in October 2018.
