KiDi: Accra FM's Nana Romeo explains why he sacked Lynx singer from interview

Accra FM presenter Nana Romeo has finally explained the reason why he sacked young Highlife singer KiDi, born Dennis Nana Dwamena, from his show on Thursday, May 14, 2020.
As widely reported, KiDi was scheduled to have an interview with Nana Romeo on his brunch time show, Ayekoo, at 11:00am.
But the interview was cancelled by Nana Romeo after KiDi came into his studio about 25 minutes late by the scheduled time.
Nana Romeo who deemed KiDi's lateness to the show as a sign of disrespect blasted the singer who was seen in a video walking out.
The decision by the Accra FM presenter to cancel the video and the subsequent video from the incident generated a big debate on social media.
Many are those who have faulted Nana Romeo for treating KiDi in an unprofessional manner and also showing him disrespect.
But in an interview on Adom TV with Sister Sandy on Friday, May 15, 2020, Nana Romeo stood by his decision saying it was KIDi's demeanour that made him cancel the interview.
According to him, despite the fact that KiDi had come on late, he showed no sign that he was regretful of his lateness.
Nana Romeo explained that Kelvynboy once came to his show late but he did not take offence because of his demeanour and show of remorse.
Answering a question on whether he would blacklist KiDi, Nana Romeo stated that it was not his intention to punish the singer or anything but he just wants the right thing to be done.
Nana Romeo added that as somebody who schooled in Cote d'Ivoire and Benin, he has always been time-conscious and likes to enforce that in his dealings.
He also further stated that nobody who is disciplined will ever insult him for the decision he took.
Meanwhile, KiDi has spoken for the first time after the unfortunate incident on Nana Romeo's show.
