Yvonne Chaka Chaka sends shoutout to musos globally: "Music is love"

- Legendary Mzansi musician Yvonne Chaka Chaka has asked musicians across the globe to help each other amid the Covid-19 pandemic

- The Umqombothi took to social media to urge her peers to assist struggling artists during these trying times

- She said artists were in the fight against the coronavirus together no matter which country one was from

Veteran songstress and songwriter Yvonne Chaka Chaka has challenged artists from all over the world to help each other amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Umqombothi hitmaker took to Instagram to urge her peers in the creative industry to assist artists who are struggling financially due to the coronavirus lockdown in most parts of the world.

The singer said she understands that most creatives are going through a tough time because they can't make money during these trying times as lockdown regulations don't allow artists to go out and perform.

"To the creative industry of the world, Covid-19 has put everything into a standstill. We can't move, we can't perform, we can't go to theatres, we cant go anywhere. But with that said, music is love, music is king. We may have been separated, but you know what, nothing can divide us. Music is love."

The legendary muso further urged those artists who can afford to help struggling ones to do so.

"If you're able to help a fellow artist, wherever you're in the world, please do so because times are tough. We are in this together, one love one heart."

The musician dubbed the 'Princess of Africa' reiterated that this too shall pass.

It was reported that the star recently took to social media to post an epic #TBT.

Her throwback pics included big names such as late icons Miriam Makeba, Nelson Mandela and Graca Machel.

Yvonne has been in the music industry for decades. The singer who began her music career at a young age, has performed her internationally recognized hits in many countries across the globe.

She has traveled the world and has met some famous people in her lifetime.
