COVID-19: Ghana's total recoveries jumps to 1,460

- Ghana has recorded 786 new recoveries from the COVID-19 pandemic

- This is the highest shot that the number of recoveries has ever had

- In fact, the increase represents 117% of the total number of recoveries Ghana recorded since the pandemic hit the country

Ghana's total number of fully recovered COVID-19 patients has moved from 674 all the way up to 1,460 in the latest update by the Ghana Health Service on the pandemic.

This becomes Ghana's biggest breakthrough in the fight against COVID-19 so far as the recovery cases have increased by over 100% in just a single count.

To state it precisely, 786 new recoveries have been recorded, which have increased the total number of fully recovered COVID-19 patients in Ghana by 117%.

Also, in the latest update, Ghana's total number of COVID-19 patients have risen from 5,530 to 5,638 and sadly the number of people who have lost their lives has also increased by four.

Over the past few weeks, the COVID-19 cases in Ghana have increased very rapidly but the Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah explains that this is due to the enhanced testing that is being carried out in Ghana.

Comparatively, other countries depend mainly on routine surveillance, which is the act of testing individuals who report to medical facilities without going to hunt for suspected patients.

In another interesting report, AY Poyoo, an underground rapper who calls himself the Face of Ghana Rap has shot to fame within just two weeks of working hard to appear in the limelight.

The rapper who doubles as a comedian released a number of music videos portraying a rural setting in Ghana with rib-cracking lines that were loved by many.

As his videos started to gain traction online, the rapper was invited to popular media houses including Adom TV and GHOne TV, which have added to his fame.
