Gospel musician Patience Nyarko says Ghanaians, are overhyping the 2017 VGMA Artiste of the year, Joe Mettle.

According to the female gospel artiste, Joe Mettle is not as big as some people want to elevate him.
“I don’t want people to say Joe Mettle is a big gospel musician. The way people are hyping him, he [Mettle] is not there yet,” she said in an interview on Onua FM.

Patience Nyarko also alleged that Joe Mettle has only a few songs to his credit. She opined that Joe Mettle only sings songs that belong to the Pentecost and Methodist churches.
“You people [Ghanaians] look down on some of us because we don’t sing in English; how many English gospel songs does Joe Mettle have to his name,” she quizzed?
Patience Nyarko further expressed frustration at the seeming attention given to Joe Mettle over other gospel musicians in the country.
Joseph Oscar Nii Armah Mettle better known by his stage name Joe Mettle is a Ghanaian gospel singer and songwriter.

He is the first gospel musician to win VGMA Artiste of the year in his Genre on April 8, 2017. He has won many awards in Ghana.
