Daughter of Glorious Jesus' lead singer, Mrs Cynthia Agyare Appeadu, has disclosed that their fame as gospel musicians has not affected their marital lives.

According to the ace gospel singer who is popularly known as Cynthia, their status as celebrities does not apply to their homes because "when we are home, we are wives. We put the celebrity life aside and perform our marital duties.”

Cynthia made the revelation while speaking in an interview on Happy FM's Showbiz Xtra on Saturday, May 16, 2020.

It is no secret many female celebrities struggle in their marriages because of their fame and, sometimes, wealth.

The Ghanaian showbiz landscape is littered with many instances of female celebrities facing troubles in their marriages. Many of such cases happen to be of gospel artistes.

The cases of Obaapa Christy, Empress Gifty, and most recently, Joyce Blessing readily come to mind.

But for Cynthia and her two other group members who have been top gospel singers for over 30 years, their homes have been intact and she attributed it to them not mixing up their public duties with those in their marital homes.

Citing a typical example with her home, Cynthia revealed that she performs all wife duties including washing her husband’s underwear adding that in her matrimonial home, there is no such thing as her husband being suppressed because she is a celebrity.

“If you come to my house, I do everything. Since my husband and I got married till date I have been washing his singlets, boxers and all his underwear, " she emphasized.

Sharing general advice, she stated that celebrities must perform their responsibilities as wives in order not to stir up problems in the marriage.

The advice from Cynthia comes exactly two months after she celebrated her birthday with loads of pictures on social media.
