As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, news of Apraku's passing started filtering in on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 20, 2020.

Prophet Kumchacha, a close associate of the deceased, has confirmed the news of his former colleague's demise.

In an interview with Peace FM which was monitored by YEN.com.gh, Kumchacha disclosed he had seen the lifeless body of Osofo Apraku.

According to him, he had received information from Apraku's ex-wife that he had passed on but it was sketchy and he decided to verify for himself.

He thus moved from Accra to go and visit the deceased's house at Adom Estate around Awutu Bawjiase near Kasoa.

Upon his arrival, he met Apraku's children at the premises of the deceased who told him they met their father unconscious in the room.

They tired all efforts to revive him without any success and Kumchacha got there to find his friend lying down.

As at the time of his interview, Kumchacha disclosed that they were waiting for the police and health personnel to come and officially confirm.

The news of Apraku's passing comes just barely 24 hours after a video of him looking intoxicated from alcohol went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, gospel minister Sonnie Badu had declared his intention to offer help to Apraku following the video.
