An 8-year-old genius is trending on social media for her incredible coding skills. The young girl's proud mother shared a video of the child explaining how she codes.

Twitter user Lindiwe Matlali (@LindiweEMMy) shared the video along with the caption:

"My @MatlaliTebello was 8 years when she started playing with the #Arduino and #RaspberryPi. This was one of her 1st projects. The focus was on developing her #coding skills, mainly #python #C & #Java. Now we gonna start building stuff. #Girlswhocode #Girlgeek #AfricaTeenGeeks"

One Twitter user asked:

"How can I introduce this to my 5-year-old?"

To which the mother responded:

"Start with Scratch and then Python for absolute beginners by Microsoft on edx, the Georgia tech python course. From there she can take any coding course on edx. You need to learn with her to keep it interesting and fun."

"Well done for giving her those skills. She will become one of the HIDDEN FIGURE ladies. Programming languages, like any other languages like isiXhosa, Zulu etc, the earlier you learn them, the better. Power to her... #Respect"

In a separate interesting report, an old childhood photo of Ghana's vice president, His Excellency Mahamudu Bawumia, has surfaced online showing how he acted as a lawyer back at the Sakasaka Primary School in Tamale.

In the hilarious photo sighted by YEN.com.gh, Bawumia was very innocent-looking as he sat down together with some other children and adults on what is reported to be a speech and prize-giving day.

Reports indicated that the old photo was brought out by Konlanbik Jacob Duuti, a 75-year old former primary school tutor of the vice president in the 1970s at the Sakasaka Primary School in Tamale.
