Ghanaians Dancehall musician Stonebwoy has revealed that he spent a huge sum of GHC50,000 on voting in the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

He said he spent that much because he was determined to win the ultimate of the night – Artiste of the Year award.

The Ololo hitmaker made this revelation in an interview with Hitz FM on Saturday, May 23, 2020.

He added that no need for anyone to think too far about this because with the votes and nominations he had, he truly deserves that award.

That award ceremony was marred when Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale fought there bringing the programme to a sudden end.

This was because the Taking Over hitmaker had mounted the stage where Stonebwoy was making a statement after an award.

The BHIM camp interpreted Shatta Wale’s coming as an attack, prompting Stonebwoy to pull his gun.

The case is still in court.

Shatta Wale recently promoted Stonebwoy’s new album Anloga Junction, on social media.

His mother had also said they are cousins in real life.

Stonebwoy has recently said that though he settled his beef with Shatta Wale, he can't call him a friend.
