The landlord who has been arrested for killing his tenant over his refusal to vacate his property has finally justified the cause for his action.
According to him, he killed his tenant in self-defense
Victor Stephen Kankam who is currently in police custody went to his Ofankor residence on Sunday, May 24, 2020, and demanded that the tenant vacates the house and hand over the key to him as his rent had expired.
Kankam added that the tenant had earlier disrespected him by saying his property was small and quite uncomfortable.

Further information gathered by YEN.com.gh indicated that the landlord is a retired special force member in the United Kingdom.
According to reports, he went to the victim's apartment wearing a bulletproof vest which is quite hard to get in the country.
Meanwhile, the Ofankor District Commander, DSP George Asare, revealed that in his interrogation with the suspect, nothing happened for the tenant to warrant getting shot by the landlord.
DSP Asare revealed that he intentionally shot him upon arrival at the property because nothing ensued for such an action to be taken.
DSP Asare said he purposely went there to shot to kill him as the gunshots were directed at parts of his body that wouldn't make him live.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that a landlord by name Victor Stephen Nana Kankam had, allegedly shot and killed budding musician Spark Benjamine at Ofankor, a suburb in Accra.
According to a report by Myjoyonline.com, the landlord murdered his tenant because he refused to vacate a room he rented out to him.
The victim was initially rushed to the police station with multiple injuries before he was subsequently transported to the Police Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
