Highly Spiritual music signee Mr Drew has been trending in the news after his latest song titled Eat which features Stonebwoy was pulled down from YouTube.

Mr Drew's song was pulled down over issues concerning copyright infringement which was reported by Rotimi, an American singer who is also popular for his role in the Power series.

Mr Drew released the song about one week ago and it was performing very well by his standards having clocked over 150,000 views on YouTube so far.

But the video was pulled after Rotimi's record label, Empire, made a formal complaint. Mr Drew's song was an obvious cover of the American's song, Love Riddim, which was released as part of his 2019 album, Walk With Me, and his record label did not take kindly to that.

As the reports about pull-down of the video linger on, a new video has popped suggesting that Rotimi might have taken the action against Mr Drew after being prompted by a Ghanaian,

Apparently, the young man who had noticed Mr Drew's use of Rotimi's song and went straight into the American's Instagram DM to prompt him to take action.

In the video, the young was telling Rotimi about Mr Drew's song in a voice note and went further to text the details to him.

Meanwhile, Mr Drew's management, Highly Spiritual, has issued a statement taking the blame for the mishap.

According the statement signed by Kaywa, there was a miscommunication between their team and that of Rotimi which led to the video being pulled down.
