In the video sighted on YEN.com.gh Abedi Pele was seen crying as the man was ushering into the studio.
The old man who seen was wearing a red shirt was now blind as a result of old age.

According to Abedi Pele, the said man is responsible for discovering and helping build his football career several years ago.

Before Abedi Pele became a global star, he played for some local clubs including Real Tamale United (RTU).
Abedi Pele opted for Benin after the two biggest clubs in the country- Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko- failed to sign him.

This was two years after he had returned from Libya where he helped Ghana win the 1982 Africa Cup of Nations.
