Ghanaian football legend, Abedi Ayew Pele has picked rapper Kofi Kinaata as his favourite Ghanaian musician.

Speaking in an interview on GTV Sports+ and monitored by YEN.com.gh, the football maestro said he fell in love with Kofi Kinaata's music after watching him perform live at a party some time ago.

Abedi Pele said he likes the lyrics and style of the 'Behind The Scenes' hitmaker.

"The guy is from Takoradi, Kofi Kinaata. He is just amazing. I attended a party and he performed live in front of me. He is my favorite, " Abedi Pele stated.

However reacting to Abedi Pele's comments about him, Kofi Kinaata said he was highly honoured to be the favourite Ghanaian artiste of a legend like Abedi Pele.

“It is an honour to be Abedi Ayew Pele’s favourite Ghanaian artiste #TheMaestro," Kofi Kinaata posted on his Twitter page.

Before Abedi Pele became a global star, he played for some local clubs including Real Tamale United (RTU).

Abedi Pele opted for Benin after the two biggest clubs in the country- Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko- failed to sign him.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Abedi Pele reunited with the man who discovered and helped build his football career.

Abedi Pele was greatly surprised because he had lost contact with the man for so long and was only reunited with him on GTV.

In the video sighted on YEN.com.gh Abedi Pele was seen crying as the man was being ushered into the studio.
