The much-anticipated launch of Accra-based Angel FM, one of the radio stations of Dr Kwaku Oteng's Angel Broadcasting Network, has been held.

The fun-filled launch came off at the premises of the radio station on Monday, June 1, 2020.

The occasion was also used to unveil new additions the station has made to its on-air personnel prior to the launch.

As already known, former Adom FM presenter Captain Smart joined Angel FM barely 24 hours after resigning from his previous employment.

Captain Smart will be the host of the station's morning show, Anopa Bofour, and also have the role of director of operations of the station.

Moments after Captain Smart was announced to have joined Angel FM, news also came in that his former colleague, Kofi Adomah Nwanwani, who had resigned from Adom FM in November 2018 had also joined.

Kofi Adomah will be heading the station's news department.

The two were not the only big-name signings who were unveiled as Nana Yaa Brefo who also resigned from Adom TV/FM days before Captain Smart was unveiled as well.

Yaa Brefo's unveiling was a surprise as she had been highly tipped to move to Despite Media's UTV and Peace FM where she actually started her journalism career.

From what we gather, Yaa Brefo will be more linked to the ABN's TV station, Angel TV, and will have the role of head of news and current affairs.

Apart from the unveiling of the new on-air personalities, there were live performances from the likes of Obaapa Christy, Brother Sammy, Patience Nyarko, and others.
