As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Mr Drew's song which features Stonebwoy was pulled down over issues concerning copyright infringement which was reported by Rotimi, an American singer.

The song which was released about one week ago was performing very well online having clocked over 150,000 views on YouTube so far.

The video was pulled after Rotimi's record label, Empire, made a formal complaint. Mr Drew's song was an obvious cover of the American's song, Love Riddim, which was released as part of his 2019 album, Walk With Me.

Following the news of the song's deletion, Mr Drew had suggested in an interview that Stonebwoy knew about the song being a cover.

But the Dancehall star in response on Monday, June 1, 2020, asked for his name to be left out of the saga and not dragged in the mud for trying to help.

According to Stonebwoy, he only contacted Mr Drew to feature on the song and did not have any control over rights of the song.

In his explanation, Stonebwoy admitted that he was told of the song being a cover but he had thought Mr Drew's managers were going to deal with that aspect.

Not long after Stonebwoy's interview, Mr Drew has released a video to apologise to the Nominate hitmaker.

In his video, Mr Drew indicated that it was never his intention to ag Stonebwoy's name in the mud or hurt his brand after he had willingly chosen to bless him with a verse.

He thus Stonebwoy to forgive him for the harm this whole saga has caused on his person and brand.

Mr Drew also urged Ghanaians to leave Stonebwoy out of the matter as he had told them to do the right thing and his publisher to failed do it.

Meanwhile, Mr. Drew's management, Highly Spiritual, has issued a statement taking the blame for the mishap.

According to the statement signed by Kaywa, there was a miscommunication between their team and that of Rotimi which led to the video being pulled down.
