Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish, Ludacris, T.I and other US celebrities attended the memorial service of George Floyd at the North Central University in Minneapolis on Thursday.

Floyd, 46, died on Memorial Day after former police officer, Derek Chauvin suffocated him when he was being arrested for suspicion of using forged currency.

His death sparked nationwide Black Lives Matter protests. The country's citizens have been demanding justice for Floyd and have been demonstrating against police brutality and systemic racism.

Reverend Al Sharpton gave the eulogy at the memorial. Haddish broke down in tears onstage, the publication said.
