Ghanaian musician, Opanka, has revealed that a song he released, Hold On, stopped three people from taking their lives.
Sharing the details on Accra FM, he explained that it is likely more lives were saved because of the song.
YEN.com.gh understands that the song, Hold On, featuring Kofi Kinaata, is a motivational piece that advises people against taking their lives no matter the challenges they face.
Sharing the details of the incident, Opanka explained that a friend of his who lives overseas informed him he decided not to take his life after listening to the song.
The musician added that a man played the song to him and caused him to rethink his actions.
Opanka further revealed that a sister to his friend also changed her mind about committing suicide after she heard the song.
In other news, popular Ghanaian musician, Edem, has stirred emotions online with a post about his next EP which is dedicated to his late mother.
Taking to social media, he recalled how he lost her when he was about 13 or 14 years old.
He added that the pain of her loss has not changed and his love for her is still the same.
The musician went on to note that the vacuum he created in his life has remained the same but he is not ready to let her down.
