Chelsea continued their fine form in the warm-up games before the start of the Premier League on June 17, following a 7-1 thrashing of Queens Park Rangers.

The match which was played at their Cobham training ground saw Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Billy Gilmour score a brace each and the likes of Mason Mount, Willian, Loftus-Cheek and Olivier Giroud also got on the scoresheet.

Frank Lampard's were in a commanding position as they took a 4-1 half-time lead courtesy of goals from Mount, Willian, Loftus-Cheek and Giroud.

Loftus-Cheek continued his fine form in the second half before Scottish teenager added a brace in the second half to complete the onslaught.

Also Dres Mertens has written his name in the history books of Napoli after scoring against Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia semi finals.

The Belgian winger has now overtaken Slovakian star Marek Hamsik to become the Napoli's all-time goalscorer.

The record was previously held by Argentine legend Diego Maradona whose tally was 115 as Hamsik ended the spell two seasons ago with 121 before moving to China.
