- A mother, Mamello Angela, took to Facebook to gush about her daughter
- She revealed her daughter was born with cerebral palsy and was given only two years to live
- However, she recently celebrated her ninth birthday and inspired Mzansi
On Sunday, a mother, Mamello Angela, took to #ImStaying to open up about raising a 'miracle' child with special needs.
Angela revealed her daughter has cerebral palsy and doctors said she would only survive until the age of two.
However, the proud mother revealed that not only did her daughter make it until the age of nine, she is thriving.
Angela shared a powerful message online to celebrate her daughter's ninth birthday recently.
Her post read:
"Raising a child with special needs does not take a special family but it makes a family special.
"Dear Cerebral Palsy, you'll take orders from us, not the other way round, you'll bow down to us not the other way round, your presence will not stop us from laughing and playing. You've taken my daughter's ability to walk but it's okay, I'll push her. You've taken my daughter's ability to talk but guess what you've given her the best mommy ever and you've given her the strength of a proverb woman.
"30 April, 2011, my daughter was only one month and the doctors said when she reaches the age of two years God will take her away from us. But guess what, she's a warrior and a fighter. She's been protected by God's grace. Today she's nine years old that is why I'm #Staying.
"To all mommies raising kids with cerebral palsy, you are appreciated and you are doing a great job by raising those lil ones."
Social media users were inspired by the post and they flooded the comment section with their views.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported on another miraculous story. A beautiful mother has opened up about her blessings from God. She shared how she was told to end her pregnancy because it was an ectopic pregnancy.
However, she trusted in God and went for a second and third opinion. Not only did she not have to end the pregnancy, but she found out she was expecting twins.
