The National Democratic Congress (NDC), candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, John Dumelo says the sitting MP, Lydia Alhassan, will lose the 2020 parliamentary elections even if she constructs roads with gold in the area.

In an interview on 3FM, Mr. Dumelo said his opponent, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, has lost the elections in advance.

…She can decide to do the roads again or even put gold on the roads, she will lose; that’s the truth,” he noted.

Dumelo said Lydia Alhassan has been forced to work hard for the people because of him. “Before I won the primaries, was she working like this? No, she is now working extra hard because she has seen that the seat is not for her.”

But movie producer and sympathizer of the governing NPP, Socrates Sarfo, said Lydia Alhassan is good for the job.

Mr. John Dumelo and Madam Lydia Alhassan are the two main contestants for the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary election.

The two politicians have been working very hard to win the votes of the electorates come December 2020.
