The New Patriotic Party (NPP) held the second phase of its parliamentary primaries in constituencies with sitting MPs for the party on Saturday, June 20, 2020.

The election process have been generally peaceful across the over 100 constituencies, except for one or two incidents that happened in some constituencies in the morning.

As the results trickle in from the various polling stations, YEN.com.gh presents a list of seven candidates in the Greater Accra Region who went unopposed in the NPP primaries.

Below is a list of the seven going unopposed in Greater Accra

Ablekuma West: Ursula G. Owusu-Ekuful

Ayawaso Central: Henry Quartey

Ledzokuku: Bernard Okoe Boye

Madina: Abu-Bakar Saddique Boniface

Trobu: Moses Anim

Okaikwei Central: Patrick Yaw Boamah

Weija-Gbawe: Tina Gifty Naa Ayeley

YEN.com.gh earlier recorded that chaos erupted at the Avenor electoral area of the Okaikoi South constituency in the Greater Accra Region after a vote was wrongfully cast for a delegate.

The altercation was triggered after the first vote and another person with the right documents matching the information in the album also came to cast his ballot.
