In the spirit of Father’s Day celebration, Ghanaian football stars Asamoah Gyan and Jonathan Mensah, have honoured their fathers with well-deserving messages.

Father’s Day comes in a year in which many are feeling thankful for the lives of their fathers.

While a global pandemic attempted to rob fathers of the joy of being eulogised by their children and loved ones, many still went ahead to shower pleasant accolades on their biological fathers and other father-figures in their lives.

Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan and Jonathan Mensah joined many across the world to celebrate their dads for raising them.

‘Baby Jet’ acknowledged his father’s contributions for turning him into the man that he is today; a remarking footballing talent who is a true inspiration to upcoming and professional footballers alike.

The Black Stars striker shared a photo of his dad donning regal kente with a watch around his wrist.

‘‘Happy Fathers Day pops. I love you ❤️❤️,’’ ‘Baby Jet’ simply wrote.

Taking to Twitter to eulogise his father, Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah also shared a photo having a bonding moment with his dad.

Captioning the photo, he wrote: ''Happy Father’s Day Pap and all the amazing paps in the world. God bless you all.’’

Mubarak Wakaso also took to his Instagram handle to give his followers a glimpse into his family life.

The Ghanaian professional footballer and midfielder posed with his wife and all-grown kids in a family photo.
