Cristiano Ronaldo has continued to show why he is one of the greatest footballers on and off the pitch as he has just acquired the most expensive apartment ever sold in the Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.
The Juventus star paid £6million for the facility which is equipped with a stylish gym and an indoor swimming pool.
SunSport are reports that penthouse apartment is located at the Eduardo VII Park, an area where the player had his humble beginnings.
Reports from Portugal have it that the former Real Madrid goal poacher acquired the luxury apartment in 2018, but full details have just emerged.
It was gathered that there were two other millionaires who were interested in the property, but Ronaldo beat them to it when he splashed cash on the 3,100 square feet flat in the Avenida de Liberdade area of the city.
There are three large bedrooms in the apartment which is also fitted with a gym, spa and swimming pool.
CR7 recently sold one of his mansions located in Geres area of northern Portugal to his former team mate at Real Madrid Pepe for £2m.
The former Manchester United star reportedly built the mansion from scratch about ten years ago when he was still plying his trade at the Old Trafford outfit.
It was gathered that the facility serves as a privacy home for the player, but now it has become a tourist facility for lovers of football.
The 35-year-old was recently rated one of the second most paid footballers in 2020 with a monthly earning worth about €4.5 million, and this excludes sponsorship deals and endorsements according to KickOff.
