The family of Ghanaian hiplife champion Okomfour Kwadee has warned Evangelist Lord Kenya to detach himself from their son.

The family believes that Lord Kenya coming into the picture has not helped their son in any way than just escalating his situation.

Lord Kenya himself confirmed this in a new video sighted by YEN.com.gh.

According to him, the family lawyer sent him a letter dated June 15, 2020.

Evangelist Lord Kenya said the lawyer said his encounter with Kwadee made his case go viral against the family’s wish, therefore, he should halt everything he is doing with their son.

Lord Kenya quoted a part of the letter saying: “Similar situation is rearing its head after Evangelist Lord Kenya got access to him and the video going viral”.

To this end, the family, according to Lord Kenya, wants to handle their own son in the way they deem fit.

However, Lord Kenya said he had no bad intentions for taking Kwadee to the rehab center and telling Ghanaians about it.

People were asking me how he is doing and I felt I needed to do the video for people to know that Kwadee was doing well and has been discharged on June 22 Monday,” Lord Kenya explained.

Some Ghanaians have reacted to the development with some disagreeing with the family’s position:

Awura, for instance, wanted to know if the family wanted Kwadee to die:

awura60: "Ad3n mup3s33 owu anaaa? Abusua b3n nie."

Nana wondered the kind of family Kwadee belonged to:

nanayaamoah: “Ahhh why? What kind of family is that?? Ok let me run”

Free was not happy with the family:

freetourmind2020: “That what family ppl want. If u progress they don't like if you die or thing go wrong they are happy to celebrate hmm. Please stand firm.”

Carlis also gave her own opinion:

carlysiabbrown: "Wow ghana always do things different. Is the woman on the fone saying the family didn't bring him so they have no rght to tell her wat to do?? Why!! did kwadea consent to say no family allowed? If he didn't then they have rght isn't it?? And beside I fink they family wanted abut of privacy n confidentiality to their family and there's nothing wrong with that. I thought lord K was sending em bills from the Rehab before. Gh Gh Gh"

Meanwhile, the lady taking care of Kwadee at the Rehab center has said that he is doing fine and has already been discharged on Monday, June 22, 2020.

Kwadee has been in the news given the effect of his mental illness on him.

He has lost weight and looking so lanky and unkempt in a photo of his that went viral.

His mother appealed to the public to come to his aid and support his son to get well.

Some time ago, he was in the news for fighting a radio presenter during an interview.
