A poster for the one-week observance for the late Peace FM newscaster, Nana Agayei Sikapa, has popped up.

The poster, which surfaced on social media on 26 June, has given details of the one-week observance for the veteran newscaster.

According to the poster, which has been sighted by YEN.com.gh, the one-week observance will be held on Saturday, 27 June.

The ceremony will happen at the Presbyterian Church at Mile 7 at Achimota in Accra.

In line with all the existing protocols on social distancing, all the protocols are expected to be observed.

The photo of the one-week poster was first shared by UTV and Peace FM newscaster, Akosua Sarpong.

The funeral poster has stirred many sad reactions from social media users.

@iamveronicaakua said: "May his soul rest in perfect oeace."

@barbsy_trendz prayed for his soul: "May you find rest in the bosom of our maker."

@official_oforiwaa1 said: "Mmmmm damerifa due Nana Sika."

And so did @abrahamjnr123: "May his soul rest in peace."

As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Nana Agyei Sikapa passed away on Friday, 19 June.

According to UTV's official Instagram page, Nana Agyei had not been well for a very long time.

"It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of our beloved Nana Agyei Sikapa of Peace FM. He passed away this afternoon after a long and difficult illness. Nana Agyei Sikapa was the host of 'Wogyedie ne sen', 'Wo bu be aa' and 'Tete' on Peace FM," the statement read.

The passing of Nana Agyei Sikapa comes a little over two weeks after another Despite Media staff, Kwadwo Wiafe, also passed away.

Kwadwo Wiafe, a presenter with Neat FM, passed away on Thursday, 4 June.
