Akufo-Addo directs Auditor-General to take accumulated leave

- Akufo-Addo has directed the Auditor General, Daniel Yaw Domelovo to proceed on his annual

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has directed the Auditor General, Daniel Yaw Domelovo to proceed on his annual accumulated leave of 123 days.

His leave is expected to take effect from Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

According to a statement issued from the Communications Directorate of the Jubilee House, Domelevo is expected to hand all work-related documents to his Deputy, Mr. Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu.

The decision directing the Auditor-General to proceed on leave is said to be based on sections 20 (1) and 31 of the Labour Act, 2003 (651).

In the statement signed by the Director Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, the Auditor General has taken only nine out of his 132 working days of his accumulated annual leave since December 2016.

In other news, The Minister of Defense, Dominic Nitiwul finally cleared the air on the number of soldiers deployed to the Volta Region.

According to him, the Volta and Oti regions were not the only regions that have soldiers deployed.

Speaking at a press briefing at the Ministry of Information, Nitiwul revealed that all the country's entry points have officers and soldiers deployed to safeguard those areas.
