Self-proclaimed prophet, Nigel Gaisie, has shown support for the arrested Nigerian billionaire, Hushpuppi, who has been arrested for internet fraud.
Hushpuppi is currently facing legal problems with the Dubai Police and has been criticised by both Nigerians and Ghanaians at large.
Gaisie begs to differ as he has thrown his weight behind Hushpuppi.
He stated plainly that he salutes the fraudster for being successful.
According to him, people must desist from judging Hushpuppi because he has come far.
Gaisie added that Hushpuppi is a breadwinner and must be respected for what he does.
Some Ghanaians are angry about his submission in the video, with some wondering if he is really a good man of God.
Culture asked if Gaisie is indeed a man of God:
ghanaian_popular_culture: "And this is from a so called man of God?"
Jungle asked if Gaisie would be happy for Hushpuppi to defraud him:
jungleville2: “Hmm. Imagine he comes to church and makes away with all the monies in your church accounts and sells the church as well. These people call my name but their heart is far from me, sayeth the Lord.”
Afua described it as “nonsense”:
Selasie also called Gaisie a fraudster for supporting another fraudster:
selasiesongz: “Fraudsters will always support fraudsters! It's that simple.”
David believes Gaisie’s ministry has nothing to do with God:
davidanthese: “So by Nigel's logic, when an armed robber steals, we should go and find out if he's the breadwinner of his family and heap praises on him? I don't understand. It seems this guy's ministry has nothing to do with God. You salute a man who diverted monies meant for sick people into his private account and lived lavishly with the money? Is this guy really sound? And please spare us the bills nonsense! Nobody forced you to have sex and produce many children, it's a matter of choice! You are certainly not a representative of God. You're probably a thief who's hurt that another thief has been caught. The import of your message is that it's okay to steal or be dubious simply because you have responsibilities. Nkwasiasem!”
Meanwhile, an action-packed video of how Dubai police tracked Hushpuppi and got him arrested in his hotel room has dropped online.
Earlier, his former girlfriend commented on the arrest saying it was karma serving Hushpuppi.
Other young people shared their stories about Hushpuppi’s influence on their life with one saying he nearly sacrificed his mother for rituals.
Singer, Paul Okoye, has also commented on the arrest saying "social media will kill this generation."
YEN.com.gh also published the list of 17 Ghanaian celebrities who were following him before his arrest.
