According to reports, the former president and his wife were moved from their residence into an isolation facility after some security officers in their house tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus.

However, it is unclear which isolation facility President Kufuor and his wife have been moved to.
The government is yet to officially speak on the matter.

A number of government appointees have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last few weeks.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that President Nana Akufo-Addo yesterday, July 4, 2020, began a 14-day self-isolation after someone in his close circles tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a statement signed by the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the President tested negative after taking the COVID-19 test.
He has elected to self-isolate as a precautionary measure in compliance with COVID-19 protocols.
