COVID-19: Worried parents storm Accra Girls SHS to take their wards home

- Their was after six students of the school were confirmed to have tested positive

- According to the parents, they cannot rest knowing their wards might be at risk of catching the virus

Scores of parents have stormed the Accra Girls Senior High School in Accra to pick up their wards to the house.

Their fear stems after six students of the school were confirmed to have tested positive and subsequently picked up to isolation facilities.

Some parents who spoke in an interview with TV3 indicated that they cannot rest knowing very well that their wards might be at risk of catching the virus.

Meanwhile, officials from the Ghana Police Service have been deployed to the premises of the Accra Girls SHS to restrain parents who are trying to force themselves into the school.

As usual, Ghanaians have added their voice to the video circulating on parents kept outside the school.

What is the sense in going to pick your wards. Don't these parents know they put themselves at risk by doing this. Awww Ghana my beautiful country

Come to think of it...when you decided to allow your wards to go to school...what were you thinking differently from now???

The simple thing to do is test everyone and give parents time to come and collect their children after the results are in, and those who are negative to be allowed to go home and those positive to be treated thats all.

The Authorities can't release the students to them for the sake of their safety......so parent must be patience for them to test all students in order not infect other when they go home....may God help us all......

This is stupidity. It was something some parents should have done long ago. But they chose exams over the lives of their children

The whole school shd be under quarantine. And everyone needs to b tested. But taking dem home isn't da best solution
