Ghanaian Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, better known as Sam George, has inspired with his grass to grace story.

His story mirrors the struggles of many young folks who returned home only to find out that they had to start from scratch.

As one of the youngest MPs in Ghana's parliament, Sam George’s narrative does not only reflect those of the masses, but it empowers.

Sharing his uplifting story on social media, the Ghanaian MP revealed that when he first arrived in the country, he faced major financial obstacles in his bid to make it in life.

"Exactly 13 years ago, I came back home to Ghana to 'start life'. A young man with God, ambition, drive, determination, and only GHc1.50p in my pocket,'' he recounted.

The lawmaker narrated that his journey was not free of arduous setbacks.

"The journey has been arduous many times with absolutely no hope in sight, but my ultimate belief in God and myself have kept me going. Many days I walked from Lomnava to Osu in search of a job.''

He continued: ''Till my breakthrough job through uncle Dennis at UNDP got me my first IT gig with that agency and a whole world of consulting with several UN agencies and the World Bank opened up to me. Politics happened to me. A wife and 3 kids to boot have all happened in what seems a blur to me as I reminisce on 13 years of God's inexplicable grace.''

As he celebrated his accomplishments in spite of earlier setbacks, Sam George indicated that his ''journey so far has been phenomenal thanks to the grace of God and the many men and women He has brought along my path.''
