Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has accepted her nomination as running mate for John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming December 2020 elections.

In an acceptance letter sighted by YEN.com.gh, she pledged to diligently apply herself and dedicate all the energy and intellect to ensure a resounding victory for the NDC in the upcoming polls.
She expressed her deepest gratitude for her nomination by H.E. John Dramani Mahama, Flagbearer, and Leader of the great National Democratic Congress (NDC) to be his running mate for the 2020 polls.

"I pledge to diligently apply myself and dedicate all the energy and intellect I can muster to ensure a resounding victory for the NDC and for our country, Ghana,” she wrote.
Professor Oppku-Agyemang said the historic nomination is not a personal achievement but victory for inclusive and participatory democracy.
In her acceptance letter, she said her nomination would enhance the credentials of our country and recognize the towering role women to achieve the progress we have made.
This the first time any of the two major political parties is going into an election with a woman on the presidential ticket.

In other news, the National Democratic Congress approved Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as the running mate for flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama in 2020 elections.
In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh, Mahama stated that she was unanimously, endorsed by the National Executive Council of the NDC.
Mahama described Naana Jane as a God-fearing woman, distinguished scholar, a conscientious public servant, and a role model.
