The ruling NPP has undermined the fitness of Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as the running mate for John Mahama and the NDC into the 2020 elections.
According to the communications director of the party, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, Agyemang has no credibility or track records to justify the NDC’s choice.
He also said although the NDC has delayed in naming its running mate, “It is better late than never."

Listing some of the reasons why Naana’s choice is not the right choice for the NDC, Asamoah said it was during her tenure as education minister that teacher trainee allowances were scrapped.
He said again that Naana is not known to be a women’s rights advocate as the NDC is seeking to make Ghanaians believe.
“She hardly meets the expectation of someone who is known for fighting for the welfare of women,” the NPP communications director added.

Furthermore, Asamoah mentioned that Naana was one of the NDC activists who signed a petition for the pardon of some NDC communicators who had threatened to assault the chief justice who was also a woman and some Supreme Court judges.
With the foregoing, the NPP believes Naana Agyemang will not help sell the NDC.
He, however, congratulated her on the appointment.
Meanwhile, Professor Naana has spoken on her appointment declaring her readiness to ensure the NDC obtains victory in the 2020 elections.
