Ghanaian singer, Mzbel, has recounted the woes she had dating her former manager.
She said the relationship was fine when it was limited to a manager and artiste relationship.
However, when they started to have an affair, all hell broke loose.
Telling her story in an interview monitored on Adomonline.com, Mzbel described the former manager as “my producer, my man, my best friend."
She said he was far older than her and they loved each other as he gave her everything she ever wanted.
Mzbel said they enjoyed their affair until she became popular and everyone wanted to get close to her. That was when the former manager and boyfriend's jealousy started.
Mzbel narrated what happened:
“He got jealous because now everybody wants a piece of Mzbel and he blocked a lot of my shows. When I get gigs from London he wants to go with me and they say okay, this is a low budget show you can’t come, but we’ll take care of her. He’d cancel the show. He wouldn’t let me go anywhere alone. He wants to check my phone calls, my messages,”
She added that because of the daily beatings she was subjected to she lost her forehead hair.
Despite all of this, Mzbel said she could not report her man to the police because he took her from the gutters and made her who she is now.
The 16 Years hitmaker said it is never healthy for any female to date her boss.
Meanwhile, Mzbel was in the news for her fight with Prophet Nigel Gaisie. She called him a liar who deceives his followers and Ghanaians at large.
Mzbel's outburst came about after Gaisie claimed to have prophesied that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would have a female as running mate.
Mzbel went bonkers exposing Gaisie on the issue by naming who leaked that information to him to be used as a prophecy.
She also boldly named the mallam she claimed was giving Gaisie powers to perform miracles.
