Nigerian patient poses at Covid-19 isolation centre, posts his food, meds

- A Nigerian man with the Twitter handle @BABOONVIEW has taken snapshots of his first night at Covid-19 isolation centre

- The man said that he actually took the picture and revealed he is positive because he wants to disabuse people of the belief that the disease is not real

- In the posted photos, the sumptuous meal he was served could be seen and the medicine he would be taking

A Nigerian with the Twitter name ikay and handle @BABOONVIEW has shared his Covid-19 isolation story with few words and four pictures.

In a post he made on Saturday, July 11, the man said that it is his first night at the centre and he really cannot complain.

He added a laughing emoticon to the tweet with the hashtag #CoronaPapa. In a subsequent tweet, he said his health is fine.

@BABOONVIEW said he had to make the post because many people still believe that the virus is not real.

He said that he did not know he would ever be infected with the virus, adding that he cannot even say who got the deadly coronavirus from.

One can only hope the world recovers from this novel pandemic and health crisis soon.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian man with the Twitter name Oluwatimilehin narrated his experience as a coronavirus survivor.

He said coronavirus is indeed big as he appealed to the general public not to take it lightly, asking them to abide by all the protective measures.

Oluwatimilehin said that though he was asymptomatic all through, not many who were admitted were lucky.

He said that he has had to face the stigma regarding his health status, a thing he said he expected to happen.

Ghana's COVID-19 cases have been pegged at 25,252 with the recoveries number at 21 391, and the death toll now 139.
