Former Tottenham striker, Frédéric Kanouté, has heaped praises on international Ghanaian footballer, Thomas Partey.
Kanouté believeS that Partey is currently the best player in the La Liga.
According to the ex-Sevilla star, Partey stands tall amongst all the African players plying their trade in the Spanish top-flight.
In his recent interview, the retired footballer was asked about the exploits of African football stars in the La Liga.
The 2007 African Footballer of The Year rated Partey above all his colleagues.
During a La Liga conference on Monday, Frédéric Kanouté said:
"It is difficult to answer but there are two players that have impressed me – one is a bit younger and that is [Samuel Chukwueze]
There is [Youssef] En-Nesyri who scored against [Real Mallorca on Sunday] for Sevilla. I like Baba [Rahman] from Mallorca and [Andre-Frank] Anguissa from Villarreal and Cameroon.
I have followed all of them and I would say that the one who took a higher and bigger dimension is Thomas Partey.
He is all over the place in the middle of the park. He has impressed me in terms of his activity, the quality of his passes, recovery and winning so many balls.
So, I would say Thomas Partey is number one."
Partey is having his best season in the La Liga with Atlético Madrid as he has made 33 league appearances so far.
The former Tema Youth midfielder has netted twice in the ongoing campaign.
