A nurse working at the Soma CHPS Compound at the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District in the Savannah Region, Doreen Smith, has allegedly reported an NHIA district manager, Mahama Sankara, for ''sexual assault''.
In a leaked audio that has been obtained by YEN.com.gh, a voice, reported to be that of Doreen and the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) district manager, Sankara, are heard in a conversation.
Sankara is heard minutes into the leaked audio proposing love while asking Doreen for sexual favours.
The NHIA district manager is also heard literally begging Doreen for sex.
YEN.com.gh gathered that Doreen, who works at the at Soma CHPS Compound at the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District, said Sankara came to the CHPS Compound at about 9:00 am on 8 July under the guise of “monitoring” but turned around to seek sexual pleasure from her.
In the audio, the voice, reported to be that of Sankara is heard saying, “do me this singular favour and see what God will do for us. Even if I will not release, let me just enter you and I’ll be happy.’’
In his persistent attempt to convince her, Sankara tried to psychologically manipulate Doreen about the health implications of denying him sex.
Doreen could be heard persistently saying no while adding that she has a husband.
She emphasised that she does not want to be with Sankara because he is currently dating her friend.
At a point, Doreen inquired what wrong she has done to the district manager.
According to a report by 3news.com, Doreen, said even though Sankara did not succeed in having sexual intercourse with her, he fingered her in the process of struggling with him when the advances became intense.
She has since reported the incident to Ghana Police and the District Health Directorate.
