Shafik Mahama, one of the sons of former president John Dramani Mahama, has reportedly got married.

According to information gathered by YEN.com.gh, Shafik got married in a simple wedding ceremony.

It is not known exactly when the wedding came off but popular Instagram blog, Sweet Maame Adwoa, has indicated that it came off in Dubai.

The lady is said to be known as Azzy and from her photo, she is a very light-skinned lady she looks like a white lady.

Photos and a video shared by the blog show that one of Shafiks's brothers, Shahid Mahama served as his best man.

In the first photo, Shahid was seen dressed in 'boubou' while the second photo had him dressed in a suit.

Another had Shafik showing off his ring after the ceremony while the last him and his wife posing in what looks like an old photo.

In the video, Shahid and Shafik could be seen sitting at a table with others and they were later spotted walking in their identical 'boubou' dressed.

It is not known if former President Mahama and his other family members were at the wedding.

Meanwhile, former President Mahama recently shared beautiful photos of his parents on social media.

The two photos showed Hajia Abiba Nnaba, his mother, and E.A. Mahama, his father in their heydays.

Mahama shared the photos in celebration of the 2020 Global Day of Parents.
