Former President, John Dramani Mahama, has congratulated his son, Shafik, on his recent wedding with his fiancée, Asma.
Shafik, who is one of John Mahama's sons, got married to Asma, an Algerian, in a lovely wedding ceremony on Thursday, July 16, 2020.
As we exclusively reported, the privately held ceremony took place in Dubai in the UAE.

Photos and videos show the wedding was held under strict observance of social distancing and COVID-19 protocols and thus had a few family and friends in attendance.
Following Shafik's wedding, his father has taken to social media to share a photo from their wedding.
The photo has Shafik dressed in his suit while Asma was in her white wedding dress holding a bouquet of flowers.
Sharing the photo on his official Instagram page, the former president sent his congratulations to the couple and also blessed their union.
His caption read:
Congrats Shafik and Asma. God richly bless your union.
Mahama's photo got many of his followers to congratulate Shafik and his wife on their wedding.

In other wedding news, TV3 newscaster, Martin Asiedu Dartey, has married in a simple wedding ceremony. Dartey married his sweetheart, who is known as Selikem Bedzo, with strict observance of social distancing rules.
The newscaster's wedding happened just a few weeks after another broadcast journalist, Peace FM and UTV sports presenter, Romeo Oduro, tied the knot in a white wedding.
The beautiful ceremony got special attention as it was held on the football pitch at Kotobabi Wembley Park.
Romeo Oduro's white wedding came exactly two months after he and his bride, Serwaa, held a colourful traditional wedding.
