Popular Ghanaian actor, Agya Koo, known in real life as Kofi Adu, has come under serious bashing for saying he is the best actor in the Ghanaian movie industry.

Agya Koo, in a recent interview on Starr FM that was monitored by YEN.com.gh, stated that no actor in Ghana comes close to him.

He added that when it comes to acting in Ghana, there is no male actor who can do it better than him.

While bragging about his craft, Agya Koo disclosed that his great performance in the Ghanaian movie industry earned him a Presidential Award by former president, John Agyekum Kufuor.

Agya Koo's statement did not go down well with Ghanaians and they have taken to social media to respond to him accordingly.

Some have urged the actor to stop dwelling on past glory and concentrate on reviving his career.

Others say Agya Koo's decision to endorse the New Patriotic Party ended his acting career.

Sheikh Siaka Yakubu is of the view that his career crashed after he decided to meddle in politics.

Iddrisu Awal added that Agya Koo was living on past glory because other actors are now doing well in the industry.

Norbert Vilando Vilando teased Agya Koo saying the political campaigns have started and he needs to join the train.

Eric Charles Donkor, who was shocked about the veteran actor's comment, asked if he was living in a different world.

Ayisha Senyala said he liked Agya Koo in the past but not any longer.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that veteran Ghanaian actor, Fred Amugi, has stated he will never work with Agya Koo again.

In an interview on GHOne TV monitored by YEN.com.gh, the seasoned actor said Agya Koo is an actor who does not value time when it comes to making a movie.

He recounted how Agya Koo came to a location between the Sunyani–Kumasi road late after the director of the movie had given him the exact time to report.
