Reports of an impending collaboration between Dancehall superstar, Shatta Wale, and American rapper Meek Mill have gone viral on social media.

According to the reports sighted by YEN.com.gh, Shatta Wale has been featured by Meek Mill on an upcoming song.

The reports were started by Meek Mill News, a fan page on Instagram with news on the American rapper.

According to a post on the page which is verified on Instagram, there is mixtape coming up and Shatta Wale may have his song on it.

From the caption to the photo of Shatta Wale and Meek Mill, the song is going to be a banger.

"Seems #shattawale may have a record featuring #meekmill to be on his next mixtape for land of Africa If so it’s gonna be a bop ”

While the post cannot be used as a confirmation or otherwise, it has been given credence after it emerged that Meek Mill is now following Shatta Wale on social media.

YEN.com.gh confirms the American rapper to be following Shatta Wale.

Prior to the surfacing of this information on the internet, Shatta Wale had hinted of collaboration with Meek Mill and others for his upcoming album, Gift of God.

In an interview on Hitz FM and monitored by YEN.com.gh, Shatta Wale who is usually referred to as a 'local champion', said the album is going to be an international album with several international collaborations.

"There is an adage that goes like ‘dance a yard’ before ‘you dance abroad’. That’s what I go by so I wanted my community to love me and feel me for my career and talent. And I think this is the best time for me to go out there because I’m talking to a whole lot of celebrities out there; talk about Meek Mill, Nicki Minaj, Vybz, Cardi B, and other people."

But Shatta Wale later announced the postponement of the Gift of God album and it thus comes as a surprise that the collaboration is happening.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé is expected to release her Black Is King music film on July 31, 2020

The music film will feature songs from Beyoncé's Lion King: The Gift album including the Already song with Shatta Wale

Ahead of the release, a video of the Already song has popped up online.
