- Mike Tyson has continued to prepare for his bout against Roy Jones Jr

- The 54-year-old has been out of the rings since 2005 after announcing his retirement

- The epic fight against fellow American retired boxer is scheduled for September in Califonia

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has sent a warning message to his opponent Roy Jones Jr ahead of their proposed eight-round fight in Califonia in September.

The 54-year-old will come out of retirement for the first time in 15 years face off with fellow American icon who retired in 2018.

And barely two months to the epic fight, Tyson's camp released a short clip of him training hard and fierce - probably aiming to knock his opponent out before the end of the eighth round.

In the video, it was as if Tyson never left with his speed and accurate and deadly punches he threw at his training aqua bag.

He was known as the 'Baddest Man on the Planet during his active days and this was because of the fear he instilled in his opponents back then.

According to SunSport, Tyson has shed six stone for his return to the rings - a step which has made the likes of Anthony Joshua respect him more.

Meanwhile, legendary George Foreman has warned that much should not be taken out of the videos.

The American said to TMZ: "We only see what he wants us to see. We are only looking at what he wants us to see. "Maybe a few minutes later when he gets up out the bed he gets dizzy and falls on the floor or his leg pops out."

Meanwhile, two-time heavyweight champion Joshua believes Tyson is battle-ready for a return to the rings where he was once a king.

He told Sky Sports: “Mike Tyson hitting the pads with that ferocious behaviour is just second nature to him. “To someone watching from home it looks like this guy is going to come and rule the heavyweight division.”

Meanwhile, David Haye is excited to see the match-up with Jones Jr "probably the most physically gifted boxer" he has watched.

He told SunSport: "Neither man is in their prime but they are then equally out of their prime, so it is a fair contest between two legends at the same level."

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Mike Tyson will for the first time since 2005 return to the boxing rings as he trades punches with fellow boxing legend Roy Jones Jr.

The 54-year-old has been training heavily since the turn of the year confirming his plans to come out of retirement since he sustained back-to-back defeats to Danny Williams and Kevin McBride.

BBC reports that the eight-round fight is scheduled to be held on September 12 in Los Angeles, but the exact venue is yet to be confirmed.
