COVID-19: Dr Stella Immanuel claims hydroxychloroquine, others as cure

Stella Immanuel, believed to be a Nigerian doctor based in the United States of America, has shaken the social media with the claim that hydroxychloroquine cures COVID-19.
Stella described herself as a "physician, author, speaker, entrepreneur, deliverance minister, God's battle axe and weapon of war" and of the Rehoboth Medical Center, Houston, TX.
The doubt and controversy she has created has resulted in Facebook sanctioning her while Youtube has blocked her testimonies.
She has, for some days, argued in favour of hydroxychloroquine as cure for COVID-19 while accusing the world and pharmacies of playing politics with the disease.
According to her, hydroxychloroquine, zinc and anti-bacterial can effectively cure the fast-spreading disease and save the world the huge number of deaths that she considers needless.
She further made efforts to buttress her points with the experience she said she had with between 250 and 350 COVID-19 patients.
She noted that she had not lost any patient to the disease and that those she had treated included individuals with underlying medical issues.
She said some of the patients had diabetes, asthma, and other such ailments.
She argued that the politicians in the United States, as well as her colleagues in the medical profession, have been taking hydroxychloroquine but that they have been too scared to speak out because of fear that their licenses could be proscribed.
She posting series of arguments on social media, the physician has received various commendations from her followers.
"I'm so proud of Dr Stella Immanuel, a proper Nigerian woman.
"Her passion and confidence speaks volume, and when President Trump said hydroxychloroquine, zinc and Zithromax works, the Media, WHO wanted to kill him," Alabo Roland stated.
Another responder, Floyd Shivambu, also said: "Dr. Stella Immanuel is cogent and persuasive and we should believe her, but the people behind her makes some of us doubt what’s the real agenda.
"Where are African Doctors in SA, the continent & African diaspora to scientifically confirm this COVID-19 cure approach? Does it work?"
At the time of this report, she had been yanked off Facebook while many others have called her fraud.
